Abstract:
Wet and Dry Atmospheric Deposition samples are collected weekly on Tuesday using the Aerochem Metrics Preceipitation Collector. The Collector is located next to the weather station at the Santee Experimental Forest Headquarters. Weekly data is available beginning in March 2008.
Purpose:
The amount of substances dispersed in the atmosphere and deposited by precipitation,
aerosols, and gases is expected to continue to increase throughout North America. Thus, there is an
increasing need for careful measurement of the amounts, nature, and effects of these substances in
agricultural, forest, and aquatic ecosystems of the United States.
