Abstract:

The following dataset indicates the locations of the various compartments in the Santee Experimental Forest. The various compartments include private property, administrative areas, and the managed property of the Forest. The original data was created by an unknown source on an unknown date.

Purpose:

The purpose of the compartments data is to have a dataset that indicates the various compartments for quick location. Private property does exist within the boundaries of the Santee Experimental Forest and it is important to know such locations so that researchers do not tresspass into these areas.

The boundary lines for the administrative area were added in 1998 from the stands89 dataset.
