Description:

Abstract:

The dataset identifies the pre-Hurricane Hugo stand delineation for the Santee Experimental Forest. The stands were delineated from 1:12,000 color infrared photographs by Dr. Shain of Clemson University.

Purpose:

The purpose of the dataset is for past assessment of timber stands within the boundaries of the Santee Experimental Forest.

Supplemental_Information:

Feb. 2012: Metadata edited for SEF Database.

The delineation was completed (by Dr. Shain of Clemson University) from aerial photography and the attributes were interpreted for size and species classes. The stand boundaires were drawn on transparent overlays and transferred to a based map of compartment boundaries and then digitized from the based maps.
